Do amps include cables?
Most amps do not come with cables. There are a few exceptions, such as beginner guitar kits and some high-end amps. However, in general, you should expect to purchase a cable separately from your amp.
There are a few reasons for this. First, cables are relatively inexpensive, so it is not cost-effective for amp manufacturers to include them with every amp. Second, there are many different types of cables available, each with its own unique characteristics. By not including a cable with the amp, amp manufacturers allow customers to choose the cable that best suits their needs.
Here are some of the reasons why you might want to purchase a cable separately from your amp:
- To get a better sound quality: Some cables are better at transmitting sound than others. If you are serious about your guitar playing, you may want to invest in a high-quality cable.
- To get a longer cable: Some amps come with very short cables. If you need a longer cable, you will need to purchase one separately.
- To get a different type of cable: There are many different types of cables available, such as shielded cables, balanced cables, and coaxial cables. Each type of cable has its own advantages and disadvantages. If you have specific needs, you may want to purchase a cable that is designed for those needs.
