To turn off the voice assistant on your Bose soundbar, you can either disable it in the Bose Music app or press the microphone button on the soundbar.
To disable the voice assistant in the Bose Music app:
- Open the Bose Music app on your phone or tablet.
- Tap the three lines in the top left corner of the screen.
- Tap “Settings.”
- Tap “Voice Assistant.”
- Toggle off the “Voice Assistant” switch.
To turn off the voice assistant by pressing the microphone button on the soundbar:
- Press the microphone button on the soundbar.
- The microphone LED on the soundbar will turn red, indicating that the microphone is disabled.
You can also enable or disable the voice assistant by saying “Hey Google, disable voice assistant” or “Alexa, disable voice assistant.”
Please note that disabling the voice assistant will prevent you from using voice commands to control your Bose soundbar.
Here are some additional tips:
- If you are using a Google Assistant account, you can also disable the voice assistant by saying “Hey Google, stop.”
- If you are using an Amazon Alexa account, you can also disable the voice assistant by saying “Alexa, stop listening.”
- You can also disable the voice assistant by unplugging the Bose soundbar from the power outlet.
