5 Best Soundbars with Subwoofer below $200 (Compared) in 2022

Today we are taking a look for the best soundbar with subwoofer that Amazon has to offer. TVs these days are better than ever, not just in picture quality, but their price too! I remember what I paid for a 720p HDTV back in 2006 it was about double what I paid for my 4K Samsung! Anyway, as great as modern TVs are, the sound is one area that they tend to struggle in, that is why more and more people are buying soundbars. Well, for those that want a bit more “oomph” we are looking at soundbars that come with a subwoofer. No matter if you are a movie fan, gamer, or music lover, you will find what you need here.

The 5 Best Soundbar With Subwoofer Reviews

Here are a few of the best of the best in my opinion. I tried to pick a nice selection here with different prices for all budgets so there is sure to be one that ticks the boxes for what you are looking for.

  1. Samsung 2.1 Soundbar HW-R450 with Wireless Subwoofer
  2. Polk Audio Signa S2 Soundbar and Subwoofer
  3. Bomaker Sound Bar with Subwoofer
  4. Wohome Sound bar,2.1 Channel TV soundbar with Subwoofer
  5. Vizio SB3621n-G8 36″ 2.1 Channel Soundbar with Slim Subwoofer

1. Samsung 2.1 Soundbar HW-R450 with Wireless Subwoofer

Pros:

  • I love the sleek design this has
  • The asking price is great for the quality
  • It has very impressive sound, even at loud volumes it is clear
  • It has a game mode and other presets

Cons:

  • That triangle design might not be cool for everybody
  • It only has an optical jack, no standard AUX input here

You cannot go wrong with Samsung is what I always say and that rings true for this awesome Samsung 2.1 Soundbar HW-R450 with Wireless Subwoofer set. This is currently priced at just under 200 bucks and I feel that is a great price for something like this. the actual soundbar is just over 35 inches in its length and it looks super cool. I like how it is almost triangle in its design. The subwoofer also looks great and it does not take up a ton of space either. This set is designed with Bluetooth in mind, but it does also have an optical input as well.

Sound-wise, I was very impressed with this and that was why I had to have it on my list for the best soundbar with subwoofer. The soundbar has two speakers and they are far more powerful than you would think at this price range. The subwoofer adds in a very nice level of rumble and power to the sound and the remote lets you tinker with the various levels and settings to get it just the way you want. It is a great way to give your room a bit more oomph in the sound department without having to spend several hundred bucks in the process.

What Other People Are Saying

This is a very popular set and as of me writing this review, Amazon has over 1000 customer reviews. That number of reviews shows that it is popular, but even more impressive than that is the fact that 89 percent of these are positive reviews! “The volume and bass do not disappoint it actually exceeds my expectations. Great buy and great for anyone who needs a boost in their entertainment system.” This perfectly sums up my own feelings on this set!

I am a huge fan of Samsung stuff and I think that the Samsung 2.1 Soundbar HW-R450 with Wireless Subwoofer set did not disappoint. For the asking price the upgrade you are getting over your TVs standard speakers incredible and there would be no going back! It looks cool, is very well made and it could not be any easier for you to set up and use as well. This one has to be on your shortlist!

2. Polk Audio Signa S2 Soundbar and Subwoofer

Pros:

  • This is under 200 bucks!
  • It has a cool and elegant design
  • You can connect this in many different ways
  • The sound quality is far, far better than the price suggests

Cons:

  • It does lack the power of larger sets
  • The hookups are great but the inputs are at a kind of weird angle

I have used Polk speakers with various turntables over the years and have always been impressed. I knew I wanted them on our list for the best soundbar with subwoofer, but I was blown away when I checked out this Polk Audio Signa S2 Soundbar and Subwoofer. The main reason was that this is being sold for under 200 bucks right now. That to me is just insane! It is a rather compact set with the soundbar coming in at 35 inches long and having a very slim design. Even the subwoofer is nice and compact, making this perfect if you do not have a ton of space. While it does have Bluetooth connectivity, it does also offer HDMI, optical, and AUX connectivity as well.

At this price point, I will admit that I was sure the sound would be decent at best. Even though this may not have a ton of wattage behind it, the sound is still great. Most certainly it is going to be better than the speakers your TV has! It has a nice amount of bass and can get loud without distortion. The subwoofer adds that perfect bit of rumble and packs way more punch than its small stature suggests. It is quite impressive just how good Polk manages to make this, all the while keeping that asking price so low!

What Other People Are Saying

We have to go to the Amazon customer reviews for this! I say that because as of writing this has over 10 thousand customer reviews! The price point is probably what attracts so many people to this. However, 88 percent of these reviews have awarded it 4 and 5 stars. “Don’t hesitate, the sound is awesome, the voice enhance/isolate feature is awesome for boosting the dialogue on music-heavy shows/scenes.” Many people like this person here are blown away by the sound quality this set offers.

I was very impressed with the Polk Audio Signa S2 Soundbar and Subwoofer set. How they can make money on this is mind-blowing to me! I am not 100 percent sure I would have this in my living room, but I am a bit of a weirdo when it comes to stuff like this! I am sure for the average person this is going to give them a great experience. Plus, it costs under 100 bucks so what more can you ask for?

3. Bomaker Sound Bar with Subwoofer

Pros:

  • It does not take up a great deal of space
  • It has five presets
  • This is very easy to setup
  • The sound is better than you would think

Cons:

  • It is not the most powerful set
  • I do think it will attract a lot of dust and fingerprints!

Next up we have this Bomaker Sound Bar with Subwoofer which is currently priced at right around 90 bucks which is a great price if you are looking to improve your sound, but at a low cost. The actual soundbar is 31 inches long and has four speakers, what is weird is that it actually splits in two, but you cannot use it when it is split in two, so I am left wondering what was the point? It comes with a compact subwoofer that has 100 watts of power. I do like the design, but the shiny finish on the top is going to be a magnet for dust and fingerprints! It can be connected via Bluetooth and it has an awesome little remote that lets you select what device is connected to it and a few different presets. It does also have a standard AUX port on it as well.

This is a soundbar that is designed for someone on a budget and not someone who is an audiophile. I feel that the sound this produces is decent enough, but you will not want to have this at super loud volumes, I feel it is great for a mid-sized or smaller room and as I said, it is definitely better than a TV’s built-in speaker. The four-speaker design of this gives it a fair bit of punch and if sitting directly in front of it, it gives a great effect and I was quite impressed.

What Other People Are Saying

I found an interesting video review for this set on YouTube. This is a pretty good review that showcases the design of it, but you also see that the sound is pretty great, especially considering the asking price for this thing. Over at our buddies Amazon, this has 2’664 (we are getting close to the mark of the devil there!) customer reviews. The positive reviews come in at a little over 70 percent so be sure to have a good read of the reviews to see what people’s complaints are, many of the complaints seem to stem from unrealistic expectations.

Look, I have to be honest and say that the Bomaker Sound Bar with Subwoofer would probably not be my first choice when it comes to the best soundbar with subwoofer. However, I can see why it is very popular. You are going to notice a big improvement from your speakers in your TV and if you are on a tight budget, this is a great way to make your money go pretty far.

4. Wohome Sound bar,2.1 Channel TV soundbar with Subwoofer

Pros:

  • I think the design is really cool
  • It comes with different cable hookups
  • You can select from four different sound presets
  • It takes up very little space in your entertainment center

Cons:

  • It might not be great if you have a large room
  • It may not be as powerful as you want

Here we have the Wohome Sound bar,2.1 Channel TV soundbar with Subwoofer which I have not personally used, but as I was looking at all the different soundbar with subwoofer offerings on Amazon, this one caught my eye. It currently costs $99 and the tube-like design of it was something I thought was really cool, the grill and the LCD really do give this a lot of personality. It is only 28 inches long so it is great if space is a bit tight. I liked how it gives you a bunch of cables inside the box, so while it is Bluetooth, you get all the standard hook-ups too which could be handy if you have an older TV.

The actual soundbar has four speakers inside it and from what I read, it does sound like this is going to be very pleasing to your ears. The subwoofer is a decent size and will be great for action movies, gaming, and so on when you need that bit of kick to your sound. It has four different sound presets to play around with so you can find which one suits your ears best. In all, it looks like they have done a great job with this soundbar.

What Other People Are Saying

Currently, there are over 500 customer reviews for this on Amazon and 80 percent of these are positive. “I have to be honest “I’m Very Impressed” its very Loud, enough for a small room or living room…! Excellent quality, sounds clear, bass is deep & rich. All I have to say is I recommend this. Buy it.” this is what one review had to say and from what I read, most of the reviews that love this thing seem to be people who were unsure of it and then impressed by the quality.

While it was the design of the Wohome Sound bar,2.1 Channel TV soundbar with Subwoofer that initially caught my eye. The more I read about this the more impressed I became and I really want to get my hands on this and put it through its paces at some point. The market for low-cost home cinema equipment has gone through the roof and this one here looks like it is offering people a lot of bang for their buck.

5. Vizio SB3621n-G8 36″ 2.1 Channel Soundbar with Slim Subwoofer

Pros:

  • I like the way the subwoofer is so slim
  • It has a real sense of style
  • Vizio tend to make good products
  • It has various ways to be hooked up

Cons:

  • The design may be too odd for some
  • Will that subwoofer have enough kick?

You know when you are scrolling and then BAM, something catches your eye, that is what happened to me with the Vizio SB3621n-G8 36″ 2.1 Channel Soundbar with Slim Subwoofer. Priced at $119.99, this thing has a design that is truly all it’s own The actual subwoofer is cool looking and I like how it has that little bit of silver on it. It was the subwoofer that caught my eye, it looks more like a DVD player than a subwoofer. It is up to you if you like the design or not, but the slim body of this is great if space is tight in your place. It does have Bluetooth, but it also has cable hookups too.

I would love to tell you more about what is inside this, but the description is very vague, it is strange in that it makes me want to test this thing out even more. I do wonder just how much kick that slim subwoofer will have, but I am sure it is going to be fine. I have used Vizio products before and have been happy with the sound so I am sure this one is going to be good for its price.

What Other People Are Saying

As of writing, there are just under 90 customer reviews and they are at an impressive 90 percent four and five stars. The people who like this seem to really, really like it with one review having this to say, “I wanted something that would give quality sound, dialogue depth, and a bit of movie rumble, and this system has performed very well.” Most of the negative comments that I have come across with this tend to be from people who have dealt with a bad seller so that is something to keep in mind.

The Vizio SB3621n-G8 36″ 2.1 Channel Soundbar with Slim Subwoofer sure does have an interesting design and if you were to line up all of the soundbars with subwoofers that we have looked at today, this is the one that catches your eye. It may be odd, but I think that could be what makes it a winner for some of you guys.

What Is The Best Soundbar With Subwoofer under $200?

We have looked at some great sets today, but for me personally, the winner has to be the awesome Samsung 2.1 Soundbar HW-R450 with Wireless Subwoofer. I love this thing and think it does what it does incredibly well. It ticks all the boxes of what you would want in a soundbar and subwoofer package. If that close to 200 bucks price tag is putting you off. My second-place choice would have to be the Polk Audio Signa S2 Soundbar and Subwoofer. I still cannot believe they are able to sell this thing for under 100 bucks and still make money!
